    Twenty Mohawks prowled around homes, looking for a few Hurons or Algonquins. Instead they accosted two Frenchmen, one being the son of Haiot (Jean), robbed them and stripped them of their clothes but doing no harm because the Frenchmen talked their way out of trouble.
