Noel was a shoemaker. Was in Quebec on 2 September 1661when he acquired a piece of land at Chateau-Richer.

    Occupation:
He was a cobbler or shoemaker.

    Residence:
Located at the summit of Sainte-Genevieve mountain, has one of the most unusual churches, erected between 1517 and 1626. The departmental Archives of Paris were destroyed in a fire so Noel's birth record can not be found.

    Land:
He acquired a piece of land with two arpents of frontage by a league-and-a-half deep in the rear-fief of Legardeur at Chateau-Richer on the Beaupre Coast. This land was located in the place commonly called la Longue Pointe and bordered that of Symphorien Rousseau.

    Land:
Noel bought the land belonging to Symphorien Rousseau for 60 livres. This purchase must not have been completed because Rousseau resold the property to Pierre Boucher.

    Land:
Noel took a lease for three years on the land of Pierre Cauchon dit Lafontaine, at the Petit-Cap, more precisely to the east of Sainte-Anne, near the river of the same name.

    Land:
Noel sold his land at Chateau-Richer to the surgeon Claude Petiot for 27 livres. This land was located near Francois LeFranc.

    Land:
Noel obtained a piece of land from Msgr de Laval with three arpents and three perches in frontage at Sainte-Famille, on the north side of the island, almost across the river from Chateau-Richer. This farm was located near the surgeon Claude Bouchard dit Dorval.

    Land:
Jacques Dodier ceded to him, in Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupre, five arpents of frontal land. However, on 18 Oct 1665, Charles Aubert, administrator for the seigneury, receded this property to Gilles Moulineux.

    Land:
The widow of Rene Maheu, Marguerite Corriveau, ceded her farm with three arpents in width located between Etienne Charet and Nicolas Patenaude to Rose.

    3 arpents under cultivation

    Land:
The Jesuits ceded Noel a homestead comprised of four arpents in frontage, located in the seigneury of Saint-Gabriel, near Saint-Charles.

    Residence:
Noel leased a homestead located at Riviere Saint-Charles by promising to give 15 minots of wheat annually. Nicolas Heve or Deve was the landlord. The farm neighbored that of Nicolas Bonhomme.

    Property:
He worked on the Grande-Allee. Noel leased land with four arpents of frontage from Jacques Sevestre.

    Legal Matter:
Pierre Normand dit LaBriere complained about an account: 36 livres 10 sols "for labor and edgetool work that he had done for him (Noel) and for a wheel hoop that he had provided him". Noel replied that Pierre owed him for several deliveries of sand, lime and stone, worth 20 livres. Rose paid 20 livres "for balance of all accounts" and the expenses of the court. So we learn that Noel did manual work and owned a cart and at least one horse.

    Land:
