    Additonal information:
    Since Francoise was buried without the customary 24-hour delay, she may have died of the "pestilential fever" epidemic that struck the colony that year. Evidence to support that she knew she was dying is found in the contract drawn up by notary Duquet the day before she died. Noel and Francoise made a mutual donation of all their goods to the surviving member of the couple. They also granted land to their two youngest sons, Jean and Noel.
