Notary Basset wrote the contract whereby Jean and Robert Henry wer hired to farm the land owne by Francois-Marie Perrot and his wife Magdeleine Laguide Meynier. The place was located at the confluence of the Saint Lawrence and the Outaouais rivers. They were to receive the following with the land: 4 work oxen, 3 cows, 1 bull and a few buildings for tools and grain storage. As payment they were to give Her Ladyship 4 minots of grain for "each arpent of land which would be worked with the plow". This grain was stored at the house of Rene Cuillerier of Lachine.

    Land:
Jean sold an area of 80 arpents to Barthelemy Lemaistre, in order pay a debt of 240 livres owed him. This included 20 minots of grain he was supposed to deliver in the fall. Lemaistre promised to pay Jean an annual rent of 17 livres. This farm had been verbally granted to Jean the year before he sold it.
