    "At the request of Francoise-Catherine Juchereau, widow of Francois-Vianney Pachot, merchant during his lifetime at Quebec, a summons to Rene Houellet, from Grande-Anse, so that he may pay 157 livres and 6 sols for merchandise sold and delivered, with interest and expenses."

    Rene received a land grant, offically initialed by Abbot Dudouyst. The consisted of three arpents of frontal land in the parish of Sainte-Famille.

    Rene sold his three arpents of land, which included a cabin and shed, to Robert Coutard. The cost would be one hundred silvre livres to be made in two payments.

    Legal Matter:
    Rene agreed to lease a farm for one year from Pierre Soumandre. The farm had four arpents of frontage and included a seven year old cow and two oxen.

    Jean Baptiste Francois Deschamps granted Rene a piece of land that measured 8 arpents in frontage by 42 in depth. The Ouellet family stayed there for 17 years.

    Anne was unable to sign the marriage contract but Rene did before notary Becquet. Becquet had written that Rene was son of Francois, "collector general of the provice of poitou". Witnesses that signed were Governor Courcelles, Intendant Talon and the Chevalier de Tracy. Rene signed his name "Rene Houallet".
