- After Jean's death, Marie asked notary Duquet to conduct an inventory of his estate. He owned a horse, 2 oxen, 7 head of cattle, 10 pigs and about a dozen chickens. He also had cleared and tilled 16 arpents of land. Harvested that year were rye, oats, peas and hay.
