      Edward Valliere of Detroit, age 21, son of Baptisto and Margarite (Vermet) Valliere married Monique Gagnon of Detroit, age 16, daughter of Michael and Monique (Forton) Gagnon on 7 January 1845. Married by P. Kindekent, Vicar General. Witnesses: Lewis Hubert and Juliana Brunette, Detroit.
      In 1833 the Vatican made Michigan a diocese and St. Anne was the Cathedral Parish. The Vicar General was under the bishop.
