- Robert bought 5 arpents in frontage by a league in depth from Julien Fortin de Bellefontaine for 500 livres. The land is located to the east of the present village of Sainte-Anne. According to Abbot Caron "Sainte-Anne-de-Petit-Cap was just being colonized; everything was still very primitive when Robert Caron went there to settle. The colonists were paralyzed by fear of the Iroquois. They felt themselves to be so far away, so abandoned, without a chapel, without a priest to encourage and lead them. However, a Jesuit missionary did come to visit them a few times a year. He celebrated Holy Mass and administered the sacrements in private homes."

- Robert owned a lot in the Upper-Town of Quebec. The lot had 90 feet of frontage by 126 in depth and was located on the rue Saint-Louis. He sold a portion of this lot for 30 livres to the Ursulines so they could enlarge their convent on the rue du Parlour.

- They were married at the chapel of Notre-Dame-de la-Recourvrance. The restored act reads as follows:
"On 25 October of the year 1637, the ordinary banns having been made and not impediment found, Father Charles Lallemant, Jesuit, acting as curate at Quebec, after having interrogated, herd, and received their mutual consent, solemnly married and joined in the bonds of holy matrimoney Robert Caron and Marie Crevet in the presense of Jamen Bourguignon, Noel Langlois and Robert Giffard, surgeon."
