    He was from a town called St-Eloi-de-Tontuit, now known as St-Benoit d'Hebertot, canton of Pont-L'Eveque, dioces and arrondissement of Lisieux, in Calvados, France.

    Land:
    Guillaume purchased frontage land on the St. Francois Coast from Rene Sauvageau dit Maisonneuve. On the property was "a cottage covered with planks and a shed of stakes in the ground". Guillaume agreed the the purchase price of 500 livres. He promised to supply "one hundred good planks for cover" and deliver the load on the edge of the river before the next Easter. The balance of 445 livres would be paid in five annual payments.

    Legal Matter:
    Guilluame was having difficulty paying Sauvageau for the property. Sauvageau wanted to evict him or to make him pay as soon as possible. Before notary Basset, they agreed that Guillaume would continue to live on his concession until 1676 as long as he continued to cut trees to the satisfaction of Sauvageau.

    Employment:
    Pierre Boucher, Sieur de Grosbois and Seigneur of Boucherville awarded a three year contract to Guillaume and his father-in-law, Olivier Charbonneau, to take care of the seigneurial farm on the Ile Jesus. The official concession was signed on 13 August 1677. Guillaume and Olivier would fulfill obligations and leave at the end of the lease in October 1678.

    Land:
    The Sisters of the Congregation of Notre-Dame in Montreal ceded 60 square arpents of land to Labelle. The conditions were: three livres of rent annually, two sols for the cens, and twenty-two minots of wheat. Guillaume lived on this land until 1692.

Present for the signing of the contract at the home of Sieur Jacques Leber, merchant and husband of Jeanne Lemoine, were Jean Petit, tailor; Olivier Charbonneau and Marie Garnier, parents of Anne; Simon Cardinal and Marie Garnier; Jacques Cardinal; Mathurin Thibodeau and Catherine Avrard; Squire Charles Lemoine, Sieur de Longueuil, and Catherine Thierry dit Primont; Pierre Dagenais, and Francois Dollier de Casson, Sulpicien priest.
    Anne received a dowry of 300 livres tournois. Her parents promised 3 blankets, 4 chicken and 60 livres "in two equal payments".
