    Land:
    Noel paid Governor Montmagny 90 livres for 50 arpents of land on the Sainte-Genevieve Coast. He moved his family there and during 20 years on that land built "three frame dwellings, two of which had a heated room each, cellar and attic, the third serving as a shop and attic above, with a barn and two and a half arpents enclosed with stakes and serving as yard".

    Noel hired Pierre Paillereau, a laborer from Villedoux, France, to work for him.

    Legal Matter:
    Noel hired Antoine Rouillard and Thomas Touchet to build the framework of a house "which will be thirty feet long and twenty geet wide....six feet under beams". They were paid 250 livres and 20 minots of peas.

    Land:
    The governor of New France, Jean de Lauzon, ceded Noel a quarter-league of frontal land by a league deep, beginning an arpent below the La Caille River and going up the Saint Lawrence towards the south side. This concession included the Ile-aux-Oies. Noel became a partial owner of the seigneury of la Riviere-du-Sud. He named this fief Saint-Luc.

    Legal Matter:
    Noel and Helene were granted a pew in the Fabrique of Quebec. The Fabrique received from the couple two arpents of land which was appraised for 180 livres. A portion of this was used to pay the tuition for Germain to attend the Seminary.

    Noel and Helene indicated their wishes, which were on the day of their death all their furniture and real estate would be divided between their sons Charles and Alphonse, on the condition that they support their parents. The sons would also give their younger sister Marie-Madeleine 300 livres when she married.

    Employment:
    Noel agreed to "make and perfect" 24 cannon mountings and to furnish the necessary wood. Charles Legardeur, first counsellor to the king and commandant of Chateau Saint-Louis, would pay Noel 960 livres for the work.

    Died probably on a trip to see his son Alphonse.

    Marriage Contract:
    Notary Martial Piraube drew up the contract. Noel present Helene with 200 livres for her dowry and "a house located at Brie-Comte-Robert where hangs a sign with the blue horse in the parish of St-Etienne on rue des fontaines near the gate of the town which the said groom received from the succession of his mother". Helene also brought to the marriage a house, measuring 24 by 18 feet, located near Notre-Dame, with 2 arpents of land near Mont-Carmel and including a garden measuring 40 perches.
