Il faut mentionner aussi Claude Charon, sieur de La barre, marchand, et sa femme, Claudine Camus; le 29 Avril (1653), sur sa terre de la paroisse Sainte-Jean, deux de ses serviteurs tenterent de l'assassiner; en 1660, il fit un voyage en france; au recensement de 1666, il habitant Quebec.

Mezeray all ensuite resider sur le fief de M. Leneuf de la Poterie, a Portneuf. Vers 1650, il alla s'etalier au Cap-Rouge, ou il etait encore en 1658.
