    Before notary, Master Choiseau, Pierre, along with Nicolas Hublin and Jacques Nourry, signed a contract for 5 years with Jean Juchereau. Juchereau promised to give Pierre 45 livres tournois per year salay and a single pair of shoes. Pierre stated he was from Feings, a town bordering Mortange-au Perche.

    Employment:
    Pierre and Jean Trudel appeared before notary Guilliaume Audouart in Quebec. They agreed to work for three years as farmers for Nicolas Juchereau, Sieur Saint-Denis. The farm had a stable, barn and house, 2 oxen, 4 cows, 3 sheep, and farming implements. They were given for their use some turnips, half of the harvest of cabbages in the garden, 50 minots of wheat and 25 of peas. They would receive 60 livres for each new arpent of land put into cultivation. On 12 Sept. , Pierre and Jean agreed to give 40 minots of wheat, 25 of peas and 20 of corn annually. Pierre signed and Jean did not. The contract began on 1 Oct. 1655 and would expire on 1 Oct. 1658.

    Pierre obtained land from Jean Baptiste LeGardner, Sieur de Repentigny, 2 and 2/3 arpents of frontal land in the territorial domain of the fief of Charlesville, near neighbors Jean Trudel and Jacques Vauclin. This farm in located today in the municipality of Boischatel, detached from L'Ange-Gardien in 1925, about 31 arpents east of the Montmorency Falls.

Debts against the estate were 8 livres for the funeral, 15 to the church, 9 livres for the cost of the inventory, 65 livres of dower and 266 livres for half of the selling price of the house which went to Marie. With only 152 livres remaining to divide among five inheritors, suits and appeals were brought before the courts.

    Robert, along with some other people from Beauport, was accused of plotting to kill James Bourguignon. James had sued them in the court at Quebec. They were not prosecuted.

    Employment:
    Robert promised to "lease to Grouvel 200 bricks". During this time he also made planks, dry-docked the launch of Grouvel, and sowed the fields of his friends.

    Robert received a land grant from Olivier Le Tardif that consisted of 6 arpents of frontage by 126 in depth. Notary Morel signed the document.

    Guardian:
    The guardianship of the two daughters of Robert and Anne Cloutier, Genevieve and Jeanne, were given to Anne's father Zacharie after her death. Over the years there were several legal battles over the girls and permanent guardianship was given to Zacharie.

    After the death of Anne Cloutier, Robert decided to leave the area. He gave Zachary Cloutier temporary guardianship of his two daughters, Genevieve ad Jeanne. Robert rented his land to Julien Perreault, who agreed to allow an arpent of land to return to nature each year, but to take good care of the two cows, the helfer, the ox and the four pigs.

    Marriage Contract:
    This marriage contract was the first of its kind in Canada. Anne was 10 1/2 years old. A stipulation was put into the contract that stated that Anne would continue to live at home with her parents until she was thirteen years old. The wedding ceremony took place when she was eleven years old and there was a two year wait.
