Jacques paid 12 deniers in cens, to have a house built ?i?"consisting of a lower room heated with oven, cellar and attic and a lean-to behind the said house". ?/i?The property was bought from Pierre Denis on 24 Mar 1662. It consisted of 24 1/2 feet of frontage near Simon Lereau and the road that went to Cul-de-Sac. Jacques sold this property on 3 Aug 1675 to Thomas Lefebvre for 400 livres cash. Lefebvre received a final receipt on 8 Feb 1683.

Jacques ceded his farm, located at Lirec, to his son Joseph. The land had four arpents of frontage, sloping to the river and the "middle" of the island. Jacques had 50 arpents of worked land, a house, barn and stable. This transaction included 10 milk cows, a bull, 2 draft oxen, 2 plows, 2 sleighs, 2 "equipped" carts, 2 pigs, 12 hens with rooster, a "muck rake", 25 terrines, axes and pick axes. Joseph was to pay 3,000 livres cash and 1,000 livres for the animals and their care for four years. Jacques and Michelle would have the option to live on the farm for a period of four years or more. The sale was ratified on 29 Oct 1693.
