    Jean received a concession of land from Jean de Lauson in the area of the future Fort Saint-Michel. It is in the middle of the present village of Chateau-Richer.

    Jean owed Robert Pare 126 livres and 4 sols for the fare for a man of service from France. He could paid the debt off in silver or beaver skins.

    Legal Matter:
    Jean agreed to provide care for Olivier Letardif, whose health had deteriorated, his sons Charles, Guillaume and Olivier Michel. On 30 April 1662, Letardif's relatives took over the care of his family.

    Notary Paul Vachon handled the distribution of property of Jean Cauchon. Present were Jean Cauchon, Marguerite Cauchon and Jacques, Sieur de la Motte. The heirs shared and divided the concession into lots. Jacques took possession of the buildings, garden, yard and workable lands. He agreed to pay two-thirds of the deed and to bring grain from the three arpents to Jean and Marguerite.
